VBCSD's General Meeting

Under the approval by the Office of the Government, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) officially established the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) on December 17, 2010 in order to promote the role of business community to implement the Vietnam’s strategic orientation for sustainable development, making a contribution to economic growth, social justice, poverty reduction, job creation, environmental protection, biodiversity, and response to climate change. Four main working groups of VBCSD are Communication and Awareness-raising, Training, Research, and International Cooperation.
 
Within the VBCSD’s Workplan 2011 and with the aim to introduce the VBCSD’s Executive Board, action plan and working groups, and further popularize VBCSD to business community and related stakeholders, we are going to organize a General Meeting (please find the agenda attached hereto more information)
 
Time:        8:30-11:45, Tuesday, August 16, 2011
Venue:     Meeting Hall No. 1, 7th Floor, VCCI Building
                  No. 9, Dao Duy Anh street, Dong Da district, Hanoi
 
Besides, we tentatively make an arrangement for the representatives from all VBCSD’s Official Members to visit Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, Chairman of National Council for Sustainable Development, and report VBCSD’s so-far achievements and action plan for the 2011-2015 period.
