C.P. VIETNAM ACCOMPANIES WITH FOODBANK WAREHOUSE AND THE "LOVE KITCHEN" PROJECT

On the morning of January 8, 2022, Mr. Montri Suwanposri – President of CPV and the company's board of directors attended the launch ceremony of Foodbank Warehouse and the "Love kitchen" project organized by Vietnam Foodbank in Ho Chi Minh City.

As one of the co-founders of Foodbank Vietnam, C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV) is also always concerned about how both "No food waste" and being able to provide food to disadvantaged people who are lacking with meal every day. That is also why CPV always pioneers and creates all conditions to support Foodbank Vietnam in all meaningful activities.

After a long period, Food Bank Vietnam officially launched Warehouse with the mission "No one is left behind", "For a Vietnam no hungry people and no food waste". This will be the place to collect - receive, classify and preserve quality food. Food imported to the warehouse is a source of food connected from businesses, food companies, supermarkets, farmers' households, restaurants, ...

Food in storage is processed and transported directly to open houses, nursing homes, orphanages, child-rearing charities across the country to provide disadvantaged people with the most quality, fast and safe food sources.

In addition, the program has also introduced “The Love Kitchen project” to share difficulties with the people of Ho Chi Minh City in the spirit of " A stitch in time saves nine", " The leaves protect tattered ones".

5 times per week, each time more than 1000 meals, "Love kitchen" not only brings nutritious meals to difficult circumstances, but also is a place to connect the warm feelings of the community to develop further, open more models in the coming time, at the same time spreading human values in society.

In addition to supporting food for these activities, Mr. Montri Suwanposri also presented two Ford Transit cars to Foodbank Vietnam to transport food to people in need.

Being a President of C.P.Vietnam Corporation, Mr. Montri Suwanposri highly appreciated the role and mission of Foodbank Vietnam: "Foodbank Vietnam is an extremely important and urgent project in Vietnam today, when Vietnam is one of the countries with the highest level of food waste in Asia. Foodbank Vietnam was born as a good affect, this is an important in connecting and supporting food for people in need and the starting place for combating food waste – protecting the environment in an agricultural country like Vietnam."

" nearly 30 years of establishment and development in Vietnam, CPV takes the philosophy of business development associated with social responsibility, as a guideline in all activities. CPV staffs and employees have been and continue to accompany Foodbank Vietnam in implementing social programs, supporting the poor and disadvantaged, and committing to no food waste during business activities.

In the 4th covid-19 pandemic, CPV has also accompanied Foodbank Vietnam in many projects to support and prevent epidemics such as: "Free restaurant, Love Kitchen, Refrigerator fee, free rice, community hotel, shared supermarket, Home hospital, ambulance, supports millions of free meals, millions of tons of food for people in need across the country”.

As a food company, CPV found that supporting food for disadvantaged people – vulnerable groups, hard-working people, especially in the situation of COVID-19 pandemic. CPV wishes to contribute in reducing hunger and combating food waste in Vietnam, and spreading the spirit of charity and love to create motivation and belief for everyone about a better tomorrow.
