Binh Dai is one of the three coastal districts of Ben Tre province, but not as favourable as Ba Tri and Thanh Phu districts. Due to the topographical structure, Binh Dai often suffers from saltwater intrusion into the communes, in the middle of the island such as Loc Thuan, Vang Quoi Dong. Therefore, the transportation and economic exchange of the district with the surrounding areas becomes difficult.
As a foreign enterprise, expanding business in Ben Tre with seafood factories and aquaculture farms, C.P Vietnam Corporation (CPV) has put the business philosophy into the process of operation that is "for the country, for the people, then for the company". The company has also noticed the difficulties in Binh Dai and wanted to contribute to society, people and economy towards sustainable development. CPV has connected with Binh Dai District People's Committee on the funding of "The project THE HAPPY ROAD PROTECS THE SEA DIKE with the section from Highway 57B to the asphalt road to the residential area in Thoi Binh Hamlet, Thoi Thuan commune. It has a total length of 1800m, the concrete surface is 6m wide, the investment and construction process is carried out in 4 months with the total investment is over VND 8.6 billion. The project started in August 2021 and completed in December 2021.
On January 21. 2022, Mr. Krittaphol Huanpeeb representing C.P Vietnam with the People's Committee of Binh Dai district to organized a ceremony to mark the completion of “The happy road protects the sea dike”
Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Huu Lap - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Secretary of the Committee, Chairman of Binh Dai District People's Committee, and represents of C.P Vietnam and people's relatives attended.
The use of the project will positively affect the socio-economic development of the locality, promoting the economic exchange of relatives in the commune easily and conveniently, thereby contributing to improve the people's material and spiritual lives.
