The VBCSD Executive Board (EB) meeting on October 16, 2013

The VBCSD Executive Board (EB) meeting was held on October 16, 2013 at the VBCSD meeting room, 3^rd floor, VCCI building, no 9 Dao Duy Anh str., Dong Da Dist., Ha Noi. The meeting was attended by representatives from leaders of VCCI, EB members of VBCSD, and secretariat staffs.

On behalf of VCCI, Dr. Doan Duy Khuong, VCCI Vice Executive President cum VBCSD Co-chairman delivered the welcome speech to all Executive Board Members and briefly informed the reason of the meeting. The meeting result would be especially reported to Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan cum Chairman of National Council for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness Improvement.

Mr. Gary Schutz, Holcim CEO cum VBCSD Co-chairman welcomed all Executive Board (EB) Members and briefly introduced the purpose of the meeting, which was to review the progress of VBCSD since January 2013 and the work plan to the end of 2013.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh, General Secretary of VBCSD presented the report on activities implemented, from January to October 2013 and the work plan from now till 30^th December 2013.

Mr Thang VBCSD Coordinator presented and explained the VBCSD finance balance sheet and budget plan till the end of 2013.

The presentation of activity groups such as Communication and awareness-raising, Training, Research and International cooperation activities was followed by discussion and key points/questions of participants. They also suggest many solutions for the Membership Development.

The meeting agreed the contents of report to Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on Oct 29^th 2013 including all tasks that he assigned VBCSD at the latest meeting and the date of the next annual meeting in February 20^th -21^st 2014: the first Vietnam Corporate Sustainability Forum would be organized at the first day (with presence of Professor Muhammad Yunus - Chairman of Yunus Social Business and Mr. Peter Bakker, President of WBCSD), and the consecutive day for EB meeting.
