Herbalife Vietnam's volunteers donated 280 units of blood at the Company's 6th annual Voluntary Blood Donation Day held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi

Hanoi, August 4, 2023 – In line with its long-term tradition of giving back to the community, Herbalife Vietnam joined hands with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to organize the Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2023 at Herbalife Vietnam’s office in Hanoi.

On July 19, 2023, Herbalife Vietnam coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital to organize the Voluntary Blood Donation Day at the company’s headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City.

The two blood donation days attracted the participation of hundreds of independent members and employees from Herbalife Vietnam together with their relatives and friends, with a total of 280 blood units collected.

“I would like to thank all Herbalife Vietnam’s independent members, employees, and their relatives and friends for their continued strong support toward our Voluntary Blood Donation Day 2023. By regularly participating in blood donation activities, we are contributing encouragement and strength and providing humane support to patients and their families. We highly appreciate the collaboration of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital with us in making this meaningful program happen,” said Mr. Vu Van Thang, General Manager for Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia.

According to the World Health Organization, blood is needed by women with complications during pregnancy and childbirth, children with severe anemia (often resulting from malaria or malnutrition), accident victims, and patients who undergo surgery or have cancer. There is a constant need for a regular supply of blood because it can be stored only for a limited period of time before use. Regular blood donations are needed to ensure that blood will always be available whenever and wherever it is needed.
