INSEE VIETNAM CONTINUES TO RECEIVE TOP 50 CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS

On June 29, 2023, INSEE Vietnam was honored inTop 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards, organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine in two categories E-S-G Leadership and Optimize the sustainable materials.

With continuous efforts on the Sustainable Development journey, INSEE Vietnam was honored to receive the Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards (CSA) for 2 consecutive years

The Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards 2023 (CSA) organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine with the theme " E-S-G Eternal Value" to honor Enterprises with practical and compliant actions related to Environment, Society and Governance. INSEE Vietnam is honored to receive this award for the second time, which is a positive recognition for the efforts that the Company has been, is and will be implementing in the “Build for Life” journey that INSEE pursues.

With a history of more than 50 years as a leader in the sustainable building materials production field in Asia, INSEE Group has set out its Ambition for Sustainable Development with a vision to 2030 following the E-S-G Commitments. In Vietnam, the goals to realize this ambition have been integrated throughout the enterprise's value chain and cooperated with stakeholders in order to protect the environment, creating positive values ​​for the company with excellent social and corporate governance.

Specifically with the goal of Environment, INSEE has been making efforts in activities to reduce carbon emissions by utilizing alternative fuels and raw materials. INSEE currently has the lowest CO2 emissions in the Vietnamese industry, at 379kg CO2/ton of cement produced (data in 2022) compared to 667 kg/CO2 ton of cement (estimated by the Vietnam National Cement Association - VNCA in 2022). At the same time, INSEE also minimizes the impact on biodiversity through cooperation activities with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and ensures responsible use of water resources at all INSEE’s plants.

Social is the next goal that INSEE wants to make a positive impact on, improve people's quality of life, provide the safest workplace as well as connect with the community where they operate. In INSEE's corporate social responsibility strategy, the company focuses on 3 main pillars including sustainable community development, infrastructure construction and education support throughout South Vietnam. INSEE focuses on sustainable infrastructure and community development in the rural areas where INSEE’s plants are located, as it is seen as the best investment in society and in alignment with local governments by calling on INSEE employees to directly participate in volunteering hours for meaningful social activities. Up to now, INSEE has renovated and built nearly 20 houses for households in need, more than 120km of roads have been concreted and 14 bridges have been built. Currently, INSEE is in the process of building 5 houses for difficult households in Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province. With the goal of developing education with the Enterprise-based Vocational Education (EVE) program, INSEE has helped develop labor resources and provide local job opportunities in the Hon Chong plant area, creating opportunities for more than 200 students in the area. In addition, the Company also organizes the INSEE Prize, a sustainable construction playground for students and helps bring winning project to life.

For the purpose of Governance, the Enterprise always manages the interests of stakeholders in a responsible and sustainable manner. At INSEE Vietnam, good corporate governance is encouraged at all levels of the organization. According to Mr. Dao Nguyen Khanh – Head of Sustainability Development and Corporate Communications at INSEE Vietnam: “At INSEE, we are driving our E-S-G ambition by the structural governance for each sustainability workstream in every 2 months from local to global. Each workstream will be chaired and directed by Executive level to ensure the implementation has been accelerating to achieve our target each year and 2030 ambition”.

AES Vietnam supports local workforce development with energy scholarships for Binh Thuan students

In June, representatives of AES Vietnam awarded AES Future Energy Scholarships to five students who are majoring in Civil Engineering at Phan Thiet University. Mondelez Kinh Do launches the solar energy projects at Hung Yen and Binh Duong plants, expected to reduce CO2 equivalent to planting 7 million trees

Aligning the target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2050, Mondelez Kinh Do announced the solar energy project in Hung Yen and Binh Duong plants, marking a bold step towards the goal of being a more sustainable snacking company. Nestlé strengthens collaboration with partners to advance regenerative agriculture in Vietnam

Dong Nai province, June 20, 2023 - Nestlé Vietnam has signed an agreement with the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to support the country’s transition to regenerative and low-emission agriculture. The new, three-year partnership will help the country move to sustainable agriculture and achieve its 2050 net zero target.

Advanced Aquaculture Viet Nam Co., Ltd. (AAVN) under C.P. Vietnam Group has invested in clean water at group 7, the project with a clean water pipeline started on September 26, 2022, with a length of 2,782m, connecting from Thua Thien Hue provincial water plant to group 7 in Thanh Khe village, with a total cost of more than VND 2.2 billion and will be completed in early June 2023.
