Vietnam attended the launching ceremony of "Tet planting trees in gratitude to Uncle Ho," which was held in Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, and Ben Tre provinces. Thereby demonstrating the commitment of C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV) to the environment and the community. With the common goal of building a green, clean, and sustainable living environment, limiting the negative effects of climate change, maintaining ecological balance, and improving the quality of people's lives.
The event has summarized the results of the project to plant one billion trees with the message "For a green Vietnam" in the province in the period of 2021–2025. In particular, CPV has contributed to the results of the tree planting project in Dong Nai province, with the goal of supporting planting and caring for a forest with an area of 10 ha of mangroves (2023-2028) and supporting planting and farming to promote natural regeneration of 40 ha of mangroves in Ben Tre province (2021-2025) through the project "C.P. Vietnam: Journey for a Green Vietnam 2021-2025.”.
After 3 years of implementing the project, CPV has cooperated with provinces and local departments to plant and take care of more than 650,000 trees, reaching 65% of the plan of 1 million trees. Crops include dispersed trees, mangrove trees, and protective forests through Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Dong Nai, Long An, and Thua Thien Hue provinces. According to the plan, in 2024–2025, CPV will continue to survey and expand to other provinces and cities to replicate the positive impacts of the project on the environment and society, contributing to the common goal of planting 1 billion trees in Vietnam.
