In its fourth year, the Home Love bus by Home Credit continues to reach challenging destinations across the country with meaningful activities and gifts, working together to build a brighter and sustainable future for Vietnam's young generation.
Every day, students from An Trung Primary & Secondary School consistently attend the Biên village school branch near their homes to pursue their dreams of education. The school is located in Kong Chro, East of Gia Lai province and known for its hard-working Ba Na ethnic community. Despite the challenges of the area, including poverty and low education, the children make an effort to attend the school regularly, placing trust in their teachers and school administration. However, the school was built more than 30 years ago and is now in a state of disrepair. It has been listed as needing renovation under the National Target Program of the commune, but the timeline for completion is not expected until 2027.
The children going to school
Understanding the desire for education amid the hardships faced by the children and their families, Home Credit Vietnam has strived to create a safer, more comfortable learning environment through “The MakeOver - Back to School” project. This marks the start of the fourth year of the Home Love bus journey, demonstrating a close partnership with the Hope Foundation in upgrading the school’s facilities.
A Warm Back-to-School Season
Through this project, Home Credit’s team worked together to repaint and redecorate classrooms, replace desks and chairs, and build a new playground for the students. Now, the Biên village school branch has donned a new “coat”- sturdy, spacious, lively, and full of warmth and love, providing the children with an inspiring learning environment.
The Home Love bus also brought practical gifts such as books, crayons, and new uniforms, alongside various fun activities that filled the back-to-school atmosphere with laughter.
At the handover ceremony of the repaired and renovated classrooms, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hùng, an officer of the Kong Chro District Education and Training Office, expressed his happiness and emotion: “This school was in poor condition just two months ago, but after a period of renovation, it has become clean and beautiful. This achievement is thanks to the care of the Hope Foundation and Home Credit Company.”
Home Love adds to the Students’ Back-to-School Journey
The dedication of the teachers and the local education sector is now complemented by the support of Home Credit Vietnam and the Hope Foundation. This partnership is expected to help the Biên village school branch truly become a home for the children, motivating them to study, develop comprehensively, and become useful citizens for society in the future. A new chapter has begun, promising long-lasting changes for the children and their families. This is also one of the six pillars of Home Credit’s sustainable development strategy that has been pursued over the years.
The Journey of Love Continues
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the Home Love bus program continues its journey, bringing joy and hope across the country. This year, in addition to Gia Lai, the bus will also visit another school in Nghệ An, building on its successes in Yên Bái, Huế, Cam Ranh, and Bạc Liêu,...
