On June 16, 2026, in Lang Son province, C.P. Vietnam Corporation participated in the Ceremony in response to World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought 2026, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) to implement the project "C.P. Vietnam – Journey for a Green Vietnam" for the period 2026–2030.

The signing ceremony took place within the framework of an event hosted by the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection, with the attendance of representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committee of Lang Son Province, relevant ministries and agencies, international organizations, as well as students, faculty, and local residents.
Continuing the Green Journey, Elevating Commitments
Under the MoU, C.P. Vietnam commits to supporting the planting of approximately 1.5 million trees nationwide during the 2026–2030 period, with an estimated total investment of around VND 35 billion. This directly builds on the 2021–2025 phase, during which the Company successfully completed its target of planting 1.5 million trees at its factories, farms, and various community areas across the country.
The project prioritizes implementation in provinces across the North, Central, and Southern regions, while expanding to areas in need of forest restoration and distributed greening nationwide — particularly in drought-prone areas with challenging site conditions.

Cooperation activities include: providing seedlings to localities with afforestation needs; co-organizing annual activities in response to World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought; and delivering technical guidance on tree planting, forest care, and ecosystem restoration.
Mr. Tran Quang Bao, Director General of the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection, stated: "The signing of the cooperation agreement between the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection — Ministry of Agriculture and Environment — and C.P. Vietnam under the framework of the 'C.P. Vietnam – Journey for a Green Vietnam' program for the 2026–2030 period is a testament to the effectiveness of the public–private partnership model in mobilizing social resources to participate in forest protection and development, advancing sustainable forestry, and fulfilling national goals on environment and green growth."
At the ceremony, C.P. Vietnam donated 10,000 drought-resistant, soil-retaining forestry seedlings to representatives of the military and people of Lang Son Province. Nearly 300 attendees also participated in a tree-planting activity at the campus and practice hillside areas of the Northeast College of Agriculture and Forestry Technology — an institution that has partnered with C.P. Vietnam in various human resource development initiatives for the agriculture and forestry sector.

Public–Private Partnership: A Key Driver for National Green Goals
The cooperation agreement between the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection and C.P. Vietnam demonstrates the effectiveness of the public–private partnership model in mobilizing social resources for forest protection and development. Through this program, C.P. Vietnam aims to make a meaningful contribution to national environmental goals, green growth, and circular economic development — while inspiring a strong culture of corporate responsibility for a green, sustainably developed Vietnam today and for future generations.
"For C.P. Vietnam Corporation, sustainable development is not just a commitment—it is a core foundation where the interests of the country and the community are always prioritized. The company continuously strives to build a sustainable economic ecosystem that harmonizes with society and the environment, ensuring that every step forward by C.P. Vietnam is for a green, prosperous, and sustainable Vietnam."
