HANOI, Vietnam – April 17, 2019 – Dow and DEEP C signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build the first road using recycled plastics at the DEEP C Industrial Complex in Haiphong City in Vietnam. The project aims to divert post-use flexible packaging from becoming litter or entering a landfill, while also creating more durable, longer-lasting roads.
Today Dow successfully completed its separation from DowDuPont, becoming a more focused, streamlined, and leading materials science company. Dow launches with global scale and leading positions in three attractive consumer-driven segments: packaging, infrastructure and consumer care. Dow is now even better positioned to drive revenue growth and innovate for its customers, leveraging three advantaged building blocks – ethylene, propylene and silicones – to power one of the deepest chemistry sets in the industry.

On January 18, 2019, the Final Showcase of the USAID BUILD-IT & Dow Vietnam STEM Program: Engineering Projects in Community Service was held at HCM City. More than 150 participating STEM students from six engineering and technology focused universities concluded the five-month program following the EPICS curriculum model, an internationally recognized model of service learning where students not only learn by doing but also learn by creating.

30 November 2018 – The Zero Landfill In Circular Economy Conference organized by INSEE Vietnam has taken place in Ho Chi Minh City. Dow joins Circulate Capital and the Ocean Conservancy with investments to keep plastic waste out of the environment
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the Green Growth and the Global Goals (P4G) Summit in Copenhagen on October 20, which also drew leaders of 30 Vietnamese enterprises in green energy, trade, investment, and high technology. Addressing the event, PM Phuc expressed his belief that promising green growth projects and programmes will be promptly implemented, contributing to strongly promoting the realisation of sustainable development goals to 2030.
WASHINGTON, DC—August 22, 2018—Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) announced today its 2018 start-up partnerships. Each of the public-private partnerships will receive USD 100,000 in funding to advance their project to support green growth and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a range of developing countries. P4G partnerships focus on five key areas: food and agriculture, water, energy, cities and the circular economy.
Hanoi, August 9th, 2018 – Herbalife Vietnam joined hands with the Vietnam Olympic Committee (VOC) to organize a send-off ceremony for 523 Vietnamese athletes and coaches bound for the 2018 Asian Games (ASIAD). To be held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from August 18 to September 02, the 2018 ASIAD will see almost 353 Vietnamese athletes competing in 31 sports, supported by more than 135 coaches.
