February 14, 2023, at Samsung Electronics Vietnam factories, Samsung Vietnam organized the Launching ceremony for the Blood donation program in responce to the Red Sunday 2023 to resolve the blood shortage in treatment and emergencies after the Lunar New Year. The program is part of a series of activities celebrating the 15-year journey of Samsung officially implementing the "great investment" in Vietnam. Through the Program, more than 100,000 blood units have been donated since 2010 and an estimate of 4,000 blood units is expected to be donated in resonance with the Red Sunday 2023 program.

Red Sunday is an annual blood donation program implemented by Tien Phong Newspaper in collaboration with organizations nationwide. Accompanying the Red Sunday since 2018, Samsung Vietnam has always been evaluated as the leading unit in FDI enterprises participating in blood donation activities and has made great contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement in the amount of blood donated annually, and in the spirit of voluntary blood donation which is spread among the company's employees.

On this occasion, the blood donation program in response to Red Sunday 2023 of Samsung Vietnam will be launched and deployed at 4 facilities including Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV), Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen (SEVT), Samsung Display Vietnam (SDV), Samsung Research and Development Center Vietnam (SRV) and is expected to receive about 4,000 blood units.
Speaking at the program, Dr. BS Vu Duc Binh - Deputy Director of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion said: “The Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion highly appreciates that Samsung Vietnam Complex is one of the few Foreign enterprises that have cooperated with the Institute to organize blood donation since the early years of establishment in Vietnam. In addition to propagating and organizing blood donation programs, Samsung Vietnam Complex also accompanies and organizes many social charity programs and projects in Vietnam. The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion also received financial support from the Company for blood cancer patients receiving stem cell transplantation and blood disease treatment at the Institute. The positive contributions of Samsung Vietnam Complex absolutely bring value to the social community, and is worthy of being a typical unit for other companies and businesses in Vietnam to follow.”
Along with the blood donation program in response to Red Sunday, since 2010, Samsung Vietnam has cooperated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation, the Red Cross Association of Bac Ninh Province and Thai Nguyen organize the annual blood donation program "Blood for Vietnamese" with the participation of a large number of staff. To date, more than 100,000 blood units have been donated through these programs, helping to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients in need of blood transfusion.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, December 8th, 2022 – SCG Sharing the Brighter Vision 2022, SCG in collaboration with Ba Ria - Vung Tau Eye Hospital, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Youth Union, has been held in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (BR-VT) for the first time. It has provided free eye health examinations for 600 local residents, successfully performed 100 cataract surgeries, and equipped the local public with essential knowledge on eye health via training sessions. The first batch of 50 patients had operations from November 29th – December 1st.
December 20th, 2022 - The Central Association Council in collaboration with SCG held the SCG Sharing the Dream 2022 scholarship program for pupils, students under the theme “Sustainable Future Starts From Your Dreams”. The program provided scholarships to 100 pupils and 100 students nationwide along with post-scholarship training activities worth a total of 2 billion VND. The program reaffirms the commitment of the Central Association Council and ESG strategy of SCG in empowering the young generation to realize their “big dreams” for a sustainable future of the country. This marks an important milestone in the 15-year journey of SCG Sharing the Dream scholarship.
