Aiming to support the community, Mondelez Kinh Do has recently donated used laptops to disadvantaged students through the Pacific Links Foundation. Students who received the donation are those were granted scholarships in the SEEDS (Scholarship to Enhance Education and Develop Skills) program targeting to help 9-grade to graduate students from poor family in the central provinces and GEMS (Girl Empowerment Scholarship) program targeting to support female students and students from the Mekong Delta and South- Central provinces.
The goals of these two scholarship programs are to reduce the number of students quitting school as well as increase the number of students completing high school and entering university. The programs also provide trainings that help students to be equipped with soft skills for future career. Through the donation, Mondelez Kinh Do has helped thousands of students and teachers have more opportunities to access advanced technology, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning.
A total of 141 used laptops in good conditions were given in the program, of which 40 were given to IT department at schools under GEMS program. The program also supports female students under the GEMS scholarship who pursuit STEM majors at universities in Ho Chi Minh City and donated 60 laptops to high school students under the SEEDS scholarship coming from the central provinces (from Nghe An to Phu Yen). Separately, 20 laptops were given to PALS's program of "Self-learning computer science”, 10 laptops for the program "Old computers, new knowledge" of the University of Information Technology.

N.Q.H, a 12th-grade student from Quang Tri province, is one of the students who will receive a computer in this round. He comes from a poor family in Hai Que commune, Hai Lang district with three siblings who also attend school. His parents work as farmers with unstable income. His mother has cancer and cannot work due to poor health. With the support of Pacific Links, he was admitted to a provincial gifted high school, and achieved the third prize in the province's Mathematics competition for excellent students, and encouragement prize in the National Mathematics competition. His dream is to study computer science at Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology. During his high school years, he learned computer skills with a tablet provided by Pacific Links and now he really needs a laptop to study programming and fulfill his dream of passing into the major he wants in the university.
