VBCSD Annual Meeting 2012

In the context of intensive globalization and international integration with fiecer competitiveness, depleted natural resources, increasing pollution and worsening climate change, businesses need to collaborate with each other to seek the orientation towards sustainable development and improving competitiveness.

Came into being in 2010, Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) is the 61^st member among the 63 World Business Council for Sustainable Development Regional Network. VBCSD brings together businesses in all economic sectors operating in Vietnam with shared goals towards business sustainability contributing to national sustainable development. Over the last 02 years, The Council has implemented various activities, playing a substantial role in enabling Vietnamese businesses to get access to concepts and latest practices in sustainable development, improve business performances, and at the same time manage social responsibility.

On 15^th Jan 2013, VBCSD will host the Annual Open Meeting in Hanoi with the participation of:

·All VBCSD Members

·Businesses interested in sustainable development

·Representatives from other Chamber of Commerce and Industry operating in Vietnam

·Representatives from relevant international organizations

The aim of the meeting is to report VBCSD activities in 2012 and work plan in 2013, while creating opportunities for businesses in all sectors operating in Vietnam as well as domestic and foreign stakeholders to exchange, discuss issues related to sustainable development.
