On the morning of August 13, 2024, at the Renaissance Riverside Saigon Hotel, the new member induction ceremony of the Packaging Recycling Organization Vietnam (PRO Vietnam) took place, with the participation of C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV) and seven other companies. CPV’s official membership in PRO Vietnam marks a significant milestone, demonstrating the company’s strong commitment to promoting sustainable development goals and building a circular economy.

At the ceremony, Mr. Chamnan Wangakkarangkul, Executive Vice President of CPV, represented the company in attending and signing the MOU to officially join PRO Vietnam. This event not only signifies CPV's entry into the PRO Vietnam network but also reaffirms the company’s determination to protect the environment, improve packaging recycling efficiency, and manage waste effectively.

As a leading company in the Agri Industry in Vietnam, CPV has always focused on sustainable packaging management throughout its supply chain. The company aims to have 100% of food packaging be recyclable, reusable by 2030, while eliminating unnecessary or harmful packaging. By the end of 2023, CPV had achieved over 90% of plastic reduction goals in food production and business activities.
Additionally, CPV continuously implements initiatives to minimize plastic usage in its operations. The company has adopted the use of bulk feed tankers to transport feed directly from production sites to farms, ensuring high-quality feed while reducing over 2,000 tons of plastic waste annually. CPV has also introduced the use of reusable V-plus tanks for transporting shrimp larvae, replacing traditional plastic bags.
