HENGSAN VIETNAM JOIN FORCES FOR WASTE-FREE FUTURE

Hanoi, August 15, 2020 - Hengsan Vietnam is the pioneer in Vietnam to research and produce high quality oxygen absorbers branded SanDry®. This is the most advanced and safest method of food preservation today. By absorbing all the oxygen in inner packaging, the SanDry® Oxygen Absorber will inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as: bacteria, yeast, and mold, which cause spoilage of food products ( rancid,  musty, fermented, ..) to preserve food. In addition SanDry® Oxygen absorbers will minimize the abuse of preservative chemicals, affecting the health of consumers. With SanDry® Oxygen Absorbers, Hengsan Vietnam wishes to send a humanistic message to protect the health of consumers, as well as join hands to protect our living environment.

In 2019, Hengsan Vietnam was honored to become a member of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD). Hengsan Vietnam has been actively participating in environmental protection activities, as well as raise awareness and responsibility of community to looking towards a waste-free future.

With the goal of implementing the Green Growth Strategy and protecting the environment through the CSI Indicator. In order to build new consumption behavior for businesses, organizations, individuals, strategic partners ... in term of environmental friendliness. As a responsible member of the VBCSD community, Hengsan Vietnam Company has researched topic: "Replace one-time Nylon packaging to recyclable plastic container".

 

Plastic containers

With the advantage of a safe plastic container, better preservation of goods, and can be reused many times  therefore minimizing discharges into the environment such as: PE bags and many other plastic accessories after using like: plastic wire, nylon lining film. In addition, using plastic containers will reduce costs and save costs in the production process. Plastic containers are designed firmly, compactly, can be stacked without being damaged like when using nylon bags, saving space and helping customers have flexible usage. It is expected to save 5 million plastic bags and PE films annually, which will not be discharged into environment and be reused effectively, avoiding waste to the society.

Industry Mentors Lead Students to Innovate: The USAID BUILD-IT & Dow Vietnam STEM Program connects industry and young engineers

From Maker to Market! The USAID BUILD-IT & Dow Vietnam STEM Program connects entrepreneurship and engineering

Monday, June 22nd, 2020 (9:00 AM – 12:30 PM) Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Building University-Industry Learning and Development through Innovation and Technology (BUILD-IT) Alliance, Arizona State University (ASU) and the Dow Vietnam STEM Program launched the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program in Vietnam in January 2018. The EPICS program is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary social entrepreneurship challenge for STEM student teams to collaboratively brainstorm, design, prototype, and test their engineering-based solutions to local challenges.
