2020 - A REMARKABLE MILESTONE IN THE JOURNEY OF URC IN VIETNAM

Rising above the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic, URC Vietnam has shown even more strengths and determination to make life better by achieving many recognitions and awards. The year 2020 marking a remarkable milestone of the 17th year of URC making life better in Vietnam.

Making life better by outstanding product quality

In October 2020, URC Vietnam for the first time received the Top 10 most reputable companies award in the non-alcoholic beverage sector. This is a prestigious annual ranking in the food and beverage sector published by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company. The result based on independent research with three criteria of financial capacity, media reputation and survey of consumers and experts.  This means that URC Vietnam, with its sustainable production and business efforts over the years, has received love and trust from Vietnamese experts and consumers.

URC Vietnam currently has a diversified product portfolio including drinks, snacks and confectionery. With many efforts to enhance local life through creating jobs, contributing to economic development, implementing corporate social responsibility projects, advancing environmental protection ,… URC Vietnam is officially named for the second year in the Top 100 sustainable businesses by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) & Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD). Organized annually since 2016 under the direction of the Vietnamese Government, the award, and the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) has become a measure for the development of businesses in the new era.

URC Vietnam consistently achieves internal goals for water resource management, energy usage and waste management, continues to invest in environmental action as one of the founding members of the Packaging Recycling Organization - PRO Vietnam. Regarding social contributions, URC also joined hands to support the front line of COVID-19 epidemic prevention through product and cash sponsorship; continue to sponsor the National Fund For Vietnamese Children, and implement environmental awareness campaigns for young people. With internal efforts to fulfill compliance with sustainable corporate governance, and contributions to society and the community, URC Vietnam continues to be named on this prestigious award.

This is a prestigious award that has been announced for 14 consecutive years by Vietnam Report, through independent research results to honor large-scale businesses, efficient and sustainable business activities.

The PAN Group focuses all its resources to implement the program "Towards the Central region"

Understanding the difficulties and damages that the people in the Central region are suffering because of floods and storms, The PAN Group organized the CSR program “Towards the Central region” to support local people. The program happened from October 30 to November 1 with the participation of the whole group, its member companies, SSI Securities JSC and Co Son volunteer group. The program is part of a big plan to support people in the Central region to overcome difficulties and overcome consequences of natural disasters.

INSEE VIETNAM COMPANIES WITH BRIDGESTONE VIETNAM ORGANIZING THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF NGON CAI BRIDGE, AN GIANG PROVINCE

On December 18th, 2020, INSEE Vietnam cooperated with Bridgestone Vietnam and Hoang Linh Company to successfully organized the inauguration ceremony of Ngon Cai bridge, located in My Hiep commune (Cho Moi), An Giang province.

SAMSUNG VIETNAM FACTORIES AND EMPLOYEES DONATED VND 5 BILLION TO THE FLOOD-HIT CENTRAL PROVINCES

Factories and employees of Samsung Vietnam donated VND 5 billion to support residents in the central provinces affected by floods in recent times. The donation was given through the Fatherland Front Committees of Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen and partly delivered directly by Samsung to people in flooded areas.

The Samsung Vietnam Multi-Stakeholder Forum 2020 is an initiative of the Samsung Vietnam Consortium, which has been held annually in Vietnam since 2018, to connect the knowledge, enthusiasm, resources, and energy of all stakeholders, including policymakers, non-governmental organizations, social organizations, experts, researchers, and businesses. Through this annual event, ideas, solutions, and initiatives are shared and discussed, from which inspiration for action and positive energy are spread, contribute to solving important issues of Vietnamese society effectively.

Dow Vietnam Collaborated with Partners to Promote Advocacy and Education to Tackle Plastics Waste issue in Phu Yen

Saturday, October 24, 2020, in Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen Province, Dow Chemical Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Dow Vietnam) and the Centre for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub) collaborated with local government authorities to host a program "Communication and Education on Tackling Plastics Waste issue in Phu Yen." This program included a series of activities: beach clean-up and monitoring marine plastics waste, collecting coastal waste database and the contest of "Green School - Blue Sea" and taking commitment of “School Zero Waste” model.

INSEE VIETNAM WAS HONORED IN "TOP 100 VIETNAM BEST PLACES TO WORK 2020"

On October 22nd, INSEE Vietnam is proud to be honored in "Top 100 Vietnam Best Places to Work 2020" at the announcement ceremony held by Anphabe in HCMC. This is the result of an annual survey conducted by Anphabe collaborate with market research firm INTAGE under the auspices of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to measure Employee Brand Attractiveness.

Dow Vietnam joined hands with local province to clean up the beach

In the morning of September 28, 2020, Dow Vietnam Team joined hands with Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province and Parliamentary Delegation of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province to host “the Campaign to make the world cleaner” and “the activity of donating 300 water tanks and 50 trash bins to fishermen in Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province reaching out to sea and local tourism areas.”
