TRAPHACO IS HORNORED IN THE ANNOUNCEMENT CEREMONY OF SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS IN VIETNAM 2020

On December 10, 2020, at the Announcement Ceremony of Sustainable Business in Vietnam held by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), Traphaco JSC continues to be honored as a Sustainable Business in 2020.

Organized annually since 2016 under the direction of the Government in Notice No. 398 / TB-VPCP dated December 15, 2015, the Announcement Ceremony of Sustainable Business in Vietnam (CSI) has made a strong impression and spread a certain amount in the Vietnamese business community.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Van - Deputy General Director of Traphaco received Vietnam Sustainable Business 2020 certification

This year 2020, not only marks 5 years of the CSI program's journey, but also marks the 10-year anniversary of VBCSD's operation. Sustainable development, from a term that is still far from the majority of Vietnamese businesses, has now become a necessary and compulsory trend of the whole world, from the Government, businesses to each household and citizen. Sustainable business, or responsible business, is the harmonization of three elements: economic growth - social responsibility and environmental protection.

To talk about sustainable development in Vietnam and the impact of the CSI Program, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said that in 2016 when the CSI program was just being implemented, Vietnam ranked 88th in terms of sustainability index firm. Until 2020, despite the increasingly difficult challenges, Vietnam also excellently climbed to 49th on the rankings. This is due to the joint efforts of the Government and the Vietnamese Business Community for sustainable development.

Highlighting the spirit of sharing and cooperation in the age of global connectivity, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that if sustainable development trends are identified as tasks and responsibilities of the State and the entire bussiness like the recent anti-epidemic action, it will surely be successful.

As one of the typical examples of sustainable development in Vietnam, over the past 10 years, Traphaco has always been a member actively contributing to the journey of building and developing a sustainable business community in Vietnam. With specific strategies and actions through projects to implement clean medicinal plants, Traphaco has created jobs and sustainable poverty eradication for ethnic communities in many localities (Lao Cai, Nam Định, Hoa Binh,…); contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, preserve precious medicinal genetic resources and reconstruct the medicinal map of Vietnam. Always defining sustainable development in its policies, plans and activities, Traphaco is one of the few businesses that have maintained and achieved growth after the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and floods, ensuring jobs, salaries and bonuses for employees.

In the upcoming period, with the rapid movement of the market, Traphaco uses digital transformation in production, business and management as the main driving force for growth, using corporate culture to improve the professionalism of the working environment, thereby creating a breakthrough and resonating the sustainable values that Traphaco has acquired over 48 years.

For sustainable development is not only a few bright spots but also the strategy of hundreds of enterprises in Vietnam as directed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Traphaco JSC and VBCSD continue to share and spread the sustainable development story of and call on enterprises, especially SMEs to participate, to apply the CSI set in the strategic planning and implementation of their operations. There is such a way to contribute to bringing Vietnam to prosperity.
