BAT’s factory in Dong Nai has invested and innovated to minimize the damage to the environment and applied a circular economy for better environment. The factory has made great efforts in reducing the harmful effects of air pollution and environmental pollution.
Over the past six years, multiple activities have been implemented within the factory including energy efficiency programs, utilizing rain-water, reusing water for deodorizing system, minimizing single-use plastics, sorting waste at source, etc.
In Sept, 2020 the factory achieved zero waste to landfill. All waste is sorted at source and transferred to functional units for treatment.
On 28 Jan, 2021 the leadership team and employees of BAT Vietnam had a trip to Dong Nai Province in order to hand over two charitable houses to underprivileged families. There, the company’s representatives also visited Phan Sinh Center, a shelter of the elderly, disabled children, to donate essential items for their daily life.
