C.P.Vietnam: The Journey for Green Vietnam 2021-2025 - Bentre’s afforestation

Global warming every day, Climate change, Greenhouse gas emissions, Environmental pollution...have been appeared every day on news, affecting the awareness of each person and enterprises to call for action to protect the environment and sustainable development.

As a part of the project series "Realizing the sustainable goals of CP Group", which is also the C.P.Vietnam sustainable goal of responding promptly and effectively to climate change and natural disasters, protecting and developing sustainable forests, preserving biodiversity, developing ecosystems, preventing degradation, and restoring natural resources. The project "C.P. Vietnam – The journey for green Vietnam 2021-2025" with  target of 1 million trees by 2025 has been gradually implemented.

The pilot project of afforestation is in Ben Tre province with the goal of 200,000 trees – 40 hectares (2021-2025). Starting from the Q2 of 2021, CPV has coordinated with the Ben Tre Agriculture and Rural Development, representatives of localities such as the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Forest Protection has been planting under the project in some communes such as Thach Phuoc and An Phu Trung.

On October 7, 2021, representatives of C.P. Vietnam Company – Managements and employees of Ben Tre Shrimp Hatchery connecting with local departments to conduct reforestation activities in Thanh Phuoc commune, Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province with more than 6,000 trees / 1.3 hectares.

On October 17, 2021, on behalf of CPV - Mr. Krittaphol Huanpeeb - Assistant General Director of CPV Ben Tre Shrimp Hatchery, and employees attended the launching ceremony in response to the "Tet tree planting" organized by Ben Tre Provincial Office at An Phu Trung Commune, Ba Tri District. The program was attended by Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Deputy of the Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre Province, and Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh - Chief of The Provincial Committee and representatives of local departments of Ben Tre province. In this event, C.P. Vietnam has gifted 31,200 trees in the planting trees project for the period of 2021-2025 of Ben Tre province, and CPV has been honoured to receive the Certificate from the Provincial People's Committee recognizing the positive contribution of CPV to the green environment of Ben Tre province.

October 21, 2021, Mr. Krittaphol Huanpeeb and employees also in collaboration with officials and soldiers of the Military of Ben Tre province to plant 1,000  trees at Thua Duc - Binh Dai commune.

In addition, in November 2021, CPV also supported more scattering trees for communes in the province such as Tan My, Phu Nhat, Tan Xuan, Chau Thanh, Thuy Nam, Van Thanh Phu

Supporting trees, planting mangroves and planting trees in Ben Tre province is not only part of the series of activities under the project "CPV – The journey for Green Vietnam", but also the responsibility of a sustainable business enterprise to respond to the call of Prime Minister of Vietnam to plant 1 billion trees by 2025. The project is given a hand in contributing forest, to timely and effective response to climate change and natural disasters, protecting and developing sustainable forests, preserving biodiversity, developing ecosystems, preventing degradation and restoring natural resources.

SCG SUPPORTS REAL-TIME PCR TESTING MACHINE FOR HANOI, ASSISTING THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

AES Vietnam donates 1,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits in Binh Thuan Province

Binh Thuan, 12 October 2021, AES Vietnam presented 1,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits to Ham Tan Healthcare Center to support the fight against the pandemic in Binh Thuan Province. This support package also includes 500 N95 face masks. The handover ceremony was organized with the presence of representatives Ham Tan Healthcare Center, AES Vietnam and other members of local authorities.

Ba Ria Vung Tau — 9 September 2021, SCG and Long Son Petrochemicals (LSP) together with EPC Contractors of the Petrochemicals Complex in South of Vietnam donated the Fully Automated Real-Time PCR Testing Machine value 9.16 billion VND to Vung Tau Medical Clinic to support Ba Ria Vung Tau province in the battle against COVID-19.

SCG TOGETHER WITH VIETNAM TO FIGHT COVID-19 VIA SUPPORTING A SERIES OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND PROVIDING HYGIENE MODULAR BATHROOMS FOR FIELD HOSPITALS IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Ho Chi Minh City, August 23rd, 2021: In face of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City; responding to the request of the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control for Ho Chi Minh City with more drastic measurements to limit the number of deaths, SCG continues to develop many practical initiatives to accompany the authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City during this difficult time.
