Friday, 02/12/2022 - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has announced a list of the country’s top 100 sustainable enterprises in 2022.
The award ceremony for the nation’s 100 most sustainable companies was organised by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in Hanoi on December 1.
A range of outstanding names feature among the top 100 sustainable businesses, including Nestlé Vietnam, Vietnam Dairy Products JSC, Coca-Cola Vietnam, BG Group, and Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company.
This year has seen the modified Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) used as criteria to assess the overall sustainable development of businesses.
Upon addressing the announcement ceremony, Nguyen Quang Vinh, vice executive chairman of the VCCI and chairman of the VBCSD, stated that the CSI Programme has received positive feedback from businesses. In addition, it has also been highly appreciated by the Government for promoting corporate sustainability among firms.
Organised annually since 2016, the Top 100 sustainable businesses in Vietnam programme aims to promote awareness about the importance and benefits of sustainable development in business activities, communities, and society.

23 May 2023, Espoo, Finland – Nokia today announced the first deployment of 10G fiber broadband in Vietnam with operator Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT). The initial rollout will connect 10,000 homes and businesses in the 8 largest provinces of the country. Nokia is providing fiber access nodes for the operator’s exchanges and fiber modems for end users’ premises.
In late April, the factory of BAT Vietnam in Dong Nai achieved PAS2060 carbon neutral verification for Scope 1 & 2 emissions carried out by Totum Institute (Brazil). SABECO PROMOTES SOLAR ENERGY TO ACHIEVE NET ZERO EMISSION BY 2050

Many businesses and locals are involved in the cultivation and purchase of tobacco leaves in Krong Pa, Gia Lai - where BAT has one of the largest leaf-growing areas in Vietnam. This plant has helped 700-800 households earn a better living for many years.
