With the theme "Corporate Social Responsibility", the conference "Developing Supplier Potential" in the northern region of C.P. Vietnam was successfully held on December 19, 2023, in Hanoi.
The conference "Capacity building" is an annual program of C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV) aimed at helping suppliers develop together. The conference was first held in 2019, and this year it was successfully held on December 19, 2023, under the theme "Corporate Social Responsibility." The conference attracted the participation of 60 suppliers from C.P. Vietnam's business sectors in the North. Attending the conference were Mr. Chamnan Wangakkarangkul, Vice President of CPV and Chairman of the Sustainable Sourcing Development Committee; Mr. Kraisak Prasertjing, Vice President in charge of CPV material procurement; and Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Senior Vice President, together with representatives of the company's management and 60 suppliers who are potential partners of C.P. Vietnam in the North.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Chamnan Wangakkarangkul expressed: "The long-term and sustainable success of businesses must be based on social and environmental responsibility. Therefore, sharing ideas and implementing social responsibility together is considered important, necessary, and meaningful in business."

The conference is a year-end program as well as an event for C.P. Vietnam and its suppliers to share ideas, directions, and experiences to cooperate and strengthen business activities towards sustainable development and the expansion of social activities. The conference listened to the sharing from Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tuan, Representative of the Sourcing Development and Audit Office, with the theme "Corporate Social Responsibility," and Ms. Cao Thi Thu Hong, Representative of the Corporation Sustainable Development Office, with the theme "Corporate social responsibility towards sustainable development.".
Also within the framework of the conference, C.P. Vietnam honored typical suppliers of 2023 with responsible and community-oriented production and business activities.

"Corporate social responsibility" has been an inevitable trend for all businesses. In order to develop the business in a sustainable way, CPV and its suppliers will work together to do business responsibly by balancing the interests of the business, society, and the environment.

This conference is also seen as a step forward in strengthening the long-term relationship between CPV and suppliers while supporting the expansion of suppliers' own business opportunities with other leading partner organizations in a context that now emphasizes the importance of socially and environmentally responsible business practices.
