It is my pleasure to cordially invite you to the launching event and first round call for proposals of the Vietnam Business Challenge Fund (VBCF).
The Vietnam Business Challenge Fund (VBCF) is a specialized fund designed to support the private sector in Vietnam to develop innovative Inclusive Business models that deliver both commercial benefits for the company and social impact for the low income population including job creation, income improvements and access to affordable goods and services. The VBCF is capitalised by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), and managed by SNV Netherlands Development Organisation.
The launch event will
- introduce the fund,
- explain the call for Inclusive Business proposals, and
- provide details on the application process, requirements and timeline
Following the launch event, businesses interested to apply will have 7 weeks to submit the executive summary proposal by a deadline of January 25th, 2013. The event will be held at 9:30AM, Wednesday December 19th. English and Vietnamese simultaneous translation will be available.

The conference on: “Sustainable cities – Challenges and Opportunities” is co-hosted by Siemens, Ministry of Construction and VCCI.
VBCSD, GIZ and DoNC are currently conducting a study on responsible tourism in and around PA, focussing on the challenges, opportunities and specific needs of tour operators and relevant governmental bodies.
