On behalf of CPV, Ms. Le Nhat Thuy – Senior Deputy General Director, Chairman of C.P Vietnam Charity Fund spoke about the goals and significance of the project. The project "C.P. Vietnam - Journey for a Green Vietnam 2021 - 2025" not only aims to achieve carbon neutrality but also contributes to the realization of the commitment to net zero emissions. Coastal protection forest planting not only helps protect the land and prevent erosion, but also provides habitat for living species, regulates the ecosystem and protects the coast against natural disasters such as tsunamis, wind and storms. In particular, the project also contributes positively to the Prime Minister's "1 billion trees" project, creating greener for the coastal area of Ben Tre and many other provinces and cities across the country.
With a sense of responsibility and commitment to be a sustainable development enterprise, CPV will continue to plant 60,000 trees on an area of 15 hectares of coastal protection forest in 2024. The project not only creates more green space but also raises public awareness about the importance of protecting forests and the environment. This is also an opportunity for CPV employees to directly participate in afforestation activities, inspire green living and raise awareness of environmental protection, not only within the company but also in the social community.
CPV hopes that each plant sprout will develop into a forest, making a practical contribution to environmental protection, biodiversity conservation and promoting sustainable development in Vietnam. The message "For a green and sustainable Vietnam" is a strong commitment that CPV wants to spread through these meaningful activities, accompanying the Government and the community in the fight against climate change and environmental protection.
