On May 8th, at the CPV Food Complex in Binh Phuoc, CPV Food Co., Ltd. – a member of C.P. Vietnam under the C.P. Group – hosted a ceremony to receive the Integrated International Quality Certification and officially launched the "3 Safety" program. The event marks not just a milestone in production capability but also reflects an inevitable trend: Vietnamese food enterprises seeking sustainable growth must align with global governance standards.

Overview of the ceremony for receiving the Integrated International Quality Certification and launching the "3 Safety" program by CPV Food
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Thang – Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai city; Mr. Wirat Wongpornpakdee – Food Business Senior Vice President of C.P.Vietnam; Ms. Oraparn Mungmisri – Director of the Global Standards System Center, CPF Thailand; Ms. Watchara Ponrong – Head of Product Technical, British Standards Institution (BSI) Thailand; along with partners, clients, and members of the press.
Integrated Standards – The Path of a Responsible Supply Chain
The centerpiece of the event was the presentation of the CPF Food Standard PS 7818:2023 certification – an integrated quality management system developed by CPF (Charoen Pokphand Foods) and independently assessed by the British Standards Institution (BSI). The defining strength of this standard lies in its whole-chain governance philosophy: rather than controlling individual stages in isolation, CPF Food Standard requires end-to-end standardization – from animal feed and hatcheries, through farming, to slaughtering and food processing. Within a unified management framework, the standard simultaneously incorporates requirements from HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and BRC, along with commitments to food safety, traceability, and sustainability.
CPV Food Binh Phuoc has become the first facility in Vietnam and outside Thailand to achieve this certification – and only the second within the entire CPF global system. This demonstrates that implementing an integrated management model to international standards is entirely achievable in Vietnam.

Sustainability Beyond Export – Starting from the Domestic Market
A notable aspect is that the adoption of CPF Food Standard at CPV Food is not solely aimed at demanding export markets such as Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong – it also directly elevates the quality of products supplied to the domestic market. Vietnamese consumers are therefore also beneficiaries of this quality control system, with products that offer clear traceability and are verified by an independent organization.

Delegates learning about the Feed – Farm – Food chain process at CPV Food
The CPV Food Binh Phuoc Complex, with a total investment of approximately USD 250 million, brings to life a fully integrated Feed – Farm – Food model that ensures consistent quality while minimizing supply chain disruption risks – a factor of growing importance in the context of sustainable development.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang – Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai city – noted that this closed-loop supply chain model represents the sustainable development path for the livestock and food industry, meeting international standards on animal welfare, biosafety, HALAL slaughter, and food safety as required by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The "3 Safety" Program – Sustainability Commitments Translated into Concrete Action
Alongside receiving the international certification, CPV Food officially launched the "3 Safety" program: Safety for Consumer Health – Safety in the Production Chain – Safety from Certified Suppliers. This is the company's way of translating complex governance commitments into language that is more accessible and meaningful to Vietnamese consumers.
At its core, the "3 Safety" program reflects a philosophy that an increasing number of responsible food enterprises are adopting: quality is not the result of a final inspection at the end of the production line, but the outcome of an entire system controlled from raw material inputs, production conditions, and processing procedures through to storage and distribution.
Mr. Wirat Wongpornpakdee – Food Business Senior Vice President of C.P. Vietnam – affirmed that this is part of the company's long-term journey: continuously raising production standards so that domestic consumers can access safe food with transparent origins, while progressively expanding opportunities for Vietnamese processed food on the global stage.

This commitment is best captured in the vision that C.P. Vietnam has consistently pursued:

The company continuously strives to build a sustainable economic ecosystem that harmonizes with society and the environment, ensuring that every step forward by C.P. Vietnam is for a green, prosperous, and sustainable Vietnam."
