November 26, 2019 in Hanoi, Vietnam - Dow is named in the top 100 sustainable corporates in Vietnam at the announcement ceremony with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Chairman of Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), Leaders from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and related departments, local governments and international organizations together with the business community.
The top 100 sustainable companies were selected from 500 corporates participating in the VBCSD’s program on ranking the most sustainable businesses based on their corporate sustainability index. This year, the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) aligned with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and other international practices with 98 criteria, focusing on social - economic and environmental aspects which include business governance, responsible and environmental protection, resources and energy efficiency, employees training and development and social welfare policy, inclusive policy, integrity and ethics and compliance as well as the corporate social responsibility programs to help the community address the challenges.

To be recognized as the best 100 sustainable enterprises under the CSI Program in Vietnam is a reputable award for corporate branding and reputation enhancement as well as a big recognition from the Government for good practices of sustainable development.

HANOI, Vietnam – April 17, 2019 – Dow and DEEP C signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to build the first road using recycled plastics at the DEEP C Industrial Complex in Haiphong City in Vietnam. The project aims to divert post-use flexible packaging from becoming litter or entering a landfill, while also creating more durable, longer-lasting roads.
