The Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) in close cooperation with the British Council, Unilever Vietnam and Vingroup Joint Stock Company has officially hosted the third Vietnam Corporate Sustainability Forum (VCSF) with the theme of “Innovation for SDGs implementation.”
In the light of the Government Notice No. 398/TB-VPCP dated December 15, 2015 on rankings of sustainable businesses in 2016, the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) in close cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) and the State Securities Committee of Vietnam (SSC) has officially launched the first “Programme on Benchmarking and Ranking the Most Sustainable Companies in Vietnam in 2016”.
Efforts are part of the Company’s broader strategy to provide innovative solutions that tackle global challenges and create positive change.
The Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) in 2016 with the theme of “A Call to Action” was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The forum discussed green growth priorities where roles of the business community were emphasised. Just returning from 3GF 2016, Mr Nguyen Quang Vinh, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), has granted an interview to Vietnam Business Forum on this event.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)launched the sustainability rating programme for 2016 on April 20.
In the new context, it is necessary to restructure the national business gathering model and trade promotion method to proactively shape and develop manufacturing and industry.
