Mondelez Kinh Do provides food support to community through partnership with Food Bank Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, November  2021 - Mondelez Kinh Do and Food Bank Vietnam have recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to mutually organize and implement meaningful activities in line with Food Bank Vietnam’s two major missions - no hunger and reduction of food waste in Vietnam.

According to Food Bank Vietnam’s report, it is estimated that more than 1 million people go hungry each year and millions are currently facing food insecurity. Aiming of joining hands to help vulnerable people to overcome tough time caused by the pandemic in the way where food waste is reduced, Mondelez Kinh Do, in cooperation with Food Bank Vietnam, have given the company’s products to people in need.

Accordingly, the meaningful program will be implemented at cities and provinces of HCMC, Ha Noi, Dong Nai, Duong Duong, Ben Tre..., and continue expanding nationwide lateron. The targeted recipients of the project include frontline Covid-19 workers, the disadvantaged, underprivileged due to the pandemic, poor workers, nursing homes, orphanages… Each group of recipients will be provided with Mondelez Kinh Do’s products, besides nutritious meals that are suitable for their living conditions.

In addition to giving free food to the people in need, Mondelez Kinh Do will join hands with Food Bank Vietnam in the fight against food waste with impactful programs that encourage people to join the fight.

This is not only a social responsibility, but also the contribution to have a positive impact on the community and society.”

In the past challenging year, since the 4th outbreak of Covid-19, Mondelez Kinh Do, together with many social organizations like Vietnam Red Cross, Binh Duong’s Fund for Children, Amcham in Hanoi, Women's Charity of Ho Chi Minh City… have donated thousands of cases of products to health workers, government agencies, and people in need across the country. The contribution made by Mondelez Kinh Do since the beginning of the pandemic has reached a total value of 38 billion VND in cash and in kind. Particularly during the Mid-Autumn Festival 2021, Mondelez Kinh Do gave moon cakes to more than 100,000 families, especially those facing difficulties due to pandemic in HCMC, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Binh Duong and other provinces.

AES Vietnam donates 1,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits in Binh Thuan Province

Binh Thuan, 12 October 2021, AES Vietnam presented 1,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits to Ham Tan Healthcare Center to support the fight against the pandemic in Binh Thuan Province. This support package also includes 500 N95 face masks. Ho Chi Minh City, August 23rd, 2021: In face of the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City; responding to the request of the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control for Ho Chi Minh City with more drastic measurements to limit the number of deaths, SCG continues to develop many practical initiatives to accompany the authorities and people of Ho Chi Minh City during this difficult time. Particularly, SCG has officially donated a series of essential medical supplies and equipment to the Field Hospital in District 8, several hospitals and government units. Notably - there are 26 Hygiene Modular Bathrooms designed and built by SCG to ensure hygiene standards, anti-bacterial and limit cross-contamination in high-risk pandemic areas, together with 800 beds for field hospitals. The total value of the donation package is worth up to 5 billion VND.
