C.P. VIETNAM (CPV) – “THE JOURNEY TO BRING LIGHT TO THE HIGHLANDS VILLAGE“

"For the community, the people" is one of the three business principles of the Charoen Pokphand Group Thailand applied in the country that the Group invests in. The three principles are "for the country, for the people and for the company". This is also the process of integrating sustainable development goals into the production and business activities of the brand of CP Group.

In order to raise awareness as well as promote the enthusiasm to support the community of CPV volunteers, CPV has implemented a plan to support the light and life facilities of O2 villagers in Vinh Kim commune, Vinh Thanh district, BinhDinh province, which is located on the top of a high mountain, far from the centre of the town, is one of the few remaining villages of the province without a connected transport system, people travel mainly across steep mountain slopes, temporary suspension bridge across the stream, the people are a Bana compatriots, life is still facing many difficulties, a poverty life.

C.P. Vietnam company cooperates with the Youth of BinhDinh province to support the O2 village

In the first days of July 2022, the CPV volunteers moved through the streams, the suspension bridge, the steep mountain slopes to climb to the O2 village. Although the road is difficult, thinking of the people and children in the highlands who are in need of support, to help, the enthusiasm of the volunteers seemed to be more motivated, the more determined to move forward.

In collaboration with C.P. Vietnam was the youth of BinhDinh province to implement the project "Lighting up the village" with 1km of village roads is installed with 50 sets of solar lights, completing the construction of "Toilet for teachers" to support those who forget themselves to "carry" the letter to the highland pupils. In addition, C.P. Vietnam also organizes activities to connect with the people, such as giving the gifts of life including cooking oil, rice, fish sauce, salt, .., planting fruit trees, cleaning the village landscape, coming to visit pupils with fun activities, giving gifts,  free haircuts for children and pupils.

Life is still difficult, but friendliness, hospitality, and a bright smile are always present on the face of every young person here. Hopefully, this small village will always receive more attention and sharing from charities, hoping that the village will soon have a road to connect with the port so that the movement of people here is less difficult, and children have access to more conditions.

Nestlé La Vie accompanies Long An water company in ensuring the supply of household water

La Vie LLC., a member of Nestlé in Vietnam, has accompanied Long An Water Supply Sewerage Joint Stock Company (Lawaco) in upgrading water treatment capacity from surface water in a bid to help Lawaco have additional water supply for people in Tan An city of Long An, meeting increasing water consumption demand while protecting water resource.

JTI VIETNAM PROVIDES HOUSING SOLUTIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN HOA BINH AND TIEN GIANG

In June 2022, the Representative Office of JTI Vietnam, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Vietnam, successfully deployed the Housing Solutions for Persons with Disabilities program of 2022. This is a three-year initiative in JTI Vietnam’s Community Investment program, focusing on the construction of new accessible homes for marginalized individuals and minorities, particularly persons with disabilities. Prioritizing inclusivity, the program accommodates housing for various types of disabilities. The program’s outcomes include a standard manual of design features for persons with disabilities, as well as 5 accessible houses that apply features from the manual.

SAMSUNG VIETNAM COMPLETES THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW R&D CENTER

Dow Vietnam hosted beach clean-up activity to celebrate Dow 125th Anniversary

On May 16, 2022, to celebrate Dow 125th Anniversary, Dow Vietnam Team hosted a beach clean-up activity #PullingOurWeight in Vung Tau City with the support of local government. More than 40 volunteers from Dow Vietnam joined this event and we collected 251 kg of plastics waste (most of them are flexible packaging, styrofoam, bottle caps, medical masks...). From May 27, 2022 to June 6, 2022, C.P. Vietnam (CPV) organized the program "Supplier Conference 2022" with an expansion in scale and objects to further improve the efficiency of connection activities between the company and suppliers at 4 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi Capital, Binh Dinh province and Son La province.
