Hanoi, May 26, 2022 – The Programme on Benchmarking and Announcing Sustainable Companies in Vietnam (CSI) 2022 has been officially launched, marking the 7th consercutive years on its success despite challenges caused by Covid-19. In 2022, the Programme will be continued by the cooperation between Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (with Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development – VBCSD as the key), Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and Vietnam General Confederation of Labour.
On 26 May 2022, the AES 2022 Annual Safety Day was celebrated both virtually and in person at the Mong Duong 2 power plant and Hanoi Office, with the participation of AES Vietnam team and our local contractors.
This is an activity within the framework of the cooperation project to develop smart factories, which Samsung in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade signed a memorandum of understanding in February 2022 with the goal of supporting the development of smart factories in 50 enterprises and training 100 Vietnamese experts in the field of smart factory consulting for 02 years (2022 - 2023).
"We no longer have to spend VND500,000 per month on a gas tank for cooking and daily needs. Since we have received support, including breeds and animal feed, as well as in the construction of biogas cellars, we are not only able to use clean energy and save money, but also have high-quality pig herds in the future,” said Hoang Thi Xin, from Ha Tranh Village, Cong Hoa Commune, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province, took us to visit her family farming model.
On May 16, 2022, to celebrate Dow 125th Anniversary, Dow Vietnam Team hosted a beach clean-up activity #PullingOurWeight in Vung Tau City with the support of local government. More than 40 volunteers from Dow Vietnam joined this event and we collected 251 kg of plastics waste (most of them are flexible packaging, styrofoam, bottle caps, medical masks...). So proud of Dow Vietnam team work!
On May 18, 2022, in Can Tho City, Can Tho Department of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with GreenHub and RECERD, held the Launching Ceremony of the Project Zero Waste to Mekong River: Pilot Circular Economy model for Floating markets in Can Tho sponsored by Dow Vietnam, aiming at raising people's and community's awareness on environmental protection. The ceremony took place with the participation of representatives of relevant departments in Can Tho City, local government agencies in Can Tho City, Dow Vietnam Leaders, GreenHub and RECERD.
On May 14, 2022, the program "Young doctors follow the Uncle’s Ho, volunteer for public health in 2022" was organized in many provinces and cities across Vietnam. C.P. Vietnam (CPV) is honored to be a companion to this meaningful activity for 13 years since 2010.
