The "Award for Economical and Efficient Use of Energy" in Ho Chi Minh City is organized by the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade with support from USAID through the Vietnam Urban Distributed Energy Technical Support Project in Ho Chi Minh City. The program contributes to the implementation of Plan No. 4485/KH-UBND dated December 30, 2021, of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on economical and efficient use of energy in Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2021–2025, oriented to 2030, to promote, reward, and promote the role of individuals, organizations, and the business community to well implement effective energy-saving solutions, apply clean energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the city.
Being an one of the food factories of C.P. Vietnam Corporation, Cu Chi Food factory in Cu Chi district follows the strategy from C.P. Group with policies to reduce greenhouse emissions with the goals of "Zero Carbon Footprint" and "Zero Waste", Cu Chi Food Factory has applied energy-saving solutions such as: installing a solar energy system to help reduce carbon emissions by more than 1,700 tons in the past year, and plans to promote 03 projects to reduce environmental pollution, namely managing sludge from waste treatment systems and eggshells, is a by-product of the production process that is reused to make fertilizer for vegetables and plants; the project to reduce paper cabinets and filing cabinets in the maintenance of machinery in the factory by using the Computerize Maintenance Management System on Mobile Application, the application of machine maintenance management on the phone, the application helps reduce the amount of paper used by about 30,000 tons / year, and up to ISO 5001 system standards

With these energy-saving solutions, the Cu Chi Food factory (under CPV) is one of the factories recognized and honored for typical models and solutions for the economical and efficient use of energy in the field of production at the award ceremony "Economical and Efficient Use of Energy 2023 on September 7, 2023, by the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City. HCMC (DOIT) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) held in Ho Chi Minh City HCM. The event was attended by leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, USAID leaders, representatives of the U.S. Consulate General, representatives of agencies, the business community, and the media to honor 13 award-winning enterprises for successfully implementing effective energy-saving measures that help save significant energy in the production and business processes.

It is hoped that in the future, projects aimed at environmental protection and economical and efficient use of energy will continue to be replicated, so that not only each business but also each individual in society can join hands to contribute to building a green environment, towards a green production that is clean and sustainable, actively contributing to the goals of socio-economic development and sustainable development in the period of national industrialization and modernization.
Honoring 13 enterprises for successfully applying effective energy-saving measures

Bac Ninh, July 20, 2023 – Samsung Vietnam and Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI) jointly held the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of Samsung Bac Ninh Hope School (Vietnam Korea Cooperation Center).
- After nearly 1 year, the project has been implemented at 33 schools in 12 provinces across the country, bringing training opportunities for high-tech development for more than 3,200 students and teachers nationwide. - For the first time, the Science and Technology Innovation Competition “Innovation Tech Challenge - 2023” applied the Robocon format. - In 5 years of operation, the Samsung Innovation Campus program has provided courses such as C&P, AI, Big Data, IoT for about 6021 Vietnamese teenagers and about 389 teachers. The program has so far reached about 40 schools and 20 provinces nationwide.
