In 2024, Dow Vietnam actively engaged in various CSR initiatives to support local communities and promote sustainability. A notable example is the Container Library Project, which transformed a shipping container into a library for over 500 students in rural Long An Province. This initiative fosters a reading culture and improves literacy among underprivileged children. Excellence in ESG Impact Recognition
Before that, on November 21, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, Dow Vietnam was also recognized for excellence in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This recognition celebrates AmCham Vietnam members’ significant contributions to creating a positive impact in Vietnam during 2024. The AmCham Excellence in ESG Impact Award aims to address contemporary challenges and contribute to Vietnam’s sustainable and inclusive development.
Dow Vietnam showcased its commitment to ESG through the Sustainable System for Collecting and Converting Used Pond Liners to Address Aquaculture Plastic Waste in Soc Trang Province. The project addresses critical environmental challenges through cross-sector collaboration involving waste collectors, recyclers, farmers, aquaculture industry representatives, and environmental organizations.
