The “Vietnam Circular Economy Forum 2024” was not only a crucial platform to promote circular economy practices but also an opportunity for businesses to share their orientations, discuss policy frameworks, and explore practical solutions through plenary sessions and thematic workshops. The program underscored the pivotal role of the circular economy in renewing growth models, focusing on developing effective strategies with practical applications to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Tran Quy Kien, and the manager Board of C.P. Vietnam: Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, General Director; Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Senior Vice President; Mr. Worawit Arunraksa, Assistant Vice President.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien emphasized that the circular economy is an interdisciplinary mission requiring the participation and responsibility of the entire society. He stressed that realizing the National Action Plan for a Circular Economy requires close coordination among government agencies, ministries, sectors, local authorities, organizations, and individuals. This model not only improves labor productivity and fosters innovation but also helps build a culture of green living and lifestyles. Importantly, it creates green jobs, develops new economic value chains, and delivers long-term benefits for both society and the environment.
