On September 6, 2025, INSEE Vietnam and 08 partners officially handed over the “Huong Duong” Library project at the Vinh Long Center for Inclusive Education Development. The new library provides a modern, creative, and inclusive learning space for children with disabilities and developmental disorders in the province. The project is proudly certified with the Lotus Gold Green Building Certificate by VGBC.
Originating from the winning idea of the INSEE Prize 2024, the Huong Duong Library project was initiated by a group of students from the Mien Tay Construction University, won over the juries with its harmonious blend of feasibility, innovative design, and profound humanitarian value. From an initial drawing, the library has now transformed into a tangible reality – a place where children at the center can step into a world of books and learn to interact through the facility's equipment.

Designed in compliance with the Gold-level requirements of the LOTUS green building standard by the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), the Huong Duong Library not only focuses on functionality but also offers an open, airy and nature-friendly environment. Architectural details have been carefully considered to ensure comprehensive accessibility for the students, from walkways and reading areas to common spaces. Notably, the electrical system is automated with high-energy-efficiency devices, such as 5-star labeled LED lights, water purifiers, air conditioners, and fans. The circuit breaker system provides anti-shock, anti-leakage, and lightning protection to ensure the utmost safety for the children. Over 80% of the materials used are certified with Green Labels and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), sourced sustainably, and include non-fired materials and recycled steel to reduce emissions and promote a circular economy. The project's design and construction were optimized to minimize emissions and conserve resources, contributing to environmental protection. For these efforts, the Huong Duong Library was awarded the LOTUS Gold certification by the VGBC on September 3, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Eamon Ginley, General Director of INSEE Vietnam, shared: “INSEE Vietnam has always believed in the creative potential of the younger generation and is committed to supporting them in turning ideas into projects that bring tangible value to communities. The Huong Duong Library is a testament to this commitment and reflects our ongoing efforts to contribute to the educational development in Vietnam.”

This meaningful project was brought to life through the collaboration of INSEE Vietnam as the main sponsor, along with partners including Kingspan Vietnam Co., Ltd., Sika Limited (Vietnam), Knauf Vietnam Co., Ltd., Nippon Paint Vietnam Co., Ltd., M.P.E Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd., R.E.E Electric Appliances Joint Stock Company, GreenViet Green Building Consultancy Co., Ltd., and the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC). After 2 months of implementation, the Huong Duong Library is now complete, offering the children a safe and comfortable space for learning and activities, thereby helping to improve the quality of education for special-needs children at the center. The joint efforts of many enterprises have helped transform the dream of a friendly, safe, and sustainable library for children with disabilities into a reality.

At the event, the students at the Center also received meaningful gifts from INSEE Vietnam, Kingspan Vietnam Co., Ltd., Sika Limited (Vietnam), Nippon Paint Vietnam Co., Ltd., as well as INSEE’s valued customers including Hai Son Building Materials Co., Ltd., Minh Duc Phu Trading Services Co., and Quang Vinh Production Trading Co., Ltd.
With its official inauguration this September, the Huong Duong Library marks the 11th project to be realized through the INSEE Prize initiative. More than just an architectural work, it stands as a symbol of sharing, corporate social responsibility, and a special gift for the children at the center.
