C.P. Vietnam Corporation extending the journey “For a Green Vietnam”

On November 5, 2025, C.P. Vietnam Corporation (CPV), in collaboration with the Forest Management Board under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Vinh Long Province, held a launching ceremony to plant 5 hectares of new mangrove forest in Thoi Thuan Commune. The event was attended by representatives of local authorities and more than 50 volunteers from CPV branches in the region.

This initiative marks a new milestone in the project, expanding the green journey C.P. Vietnam – Journey for a Green Vietnam” with a plan to nurture and develop the mangrove forest from 2025 to 2029. The project aims to restore coastal ecosystems, create a natural “green shield” against erosion, protect infrastructure and livelihoods of coastal communities, provide habitats for aquatic species, and contribute to climate change adaptation.

Delegates and volunteers planted the first Mangrove trees, symbolizing the beginning of a new phase in greening the area. More than a tree-planting activity, the program spread a message of social responsibility and environmental awareness to every participant.

Since 2021, CPV has worked with local authorities to plant, protect, and regenerate 55 hectares of protective forest, along with over 31,200 scattered trees. Currently, more than 220,000 trees are being cared for and growing well, demonstrating the company’s long-term commitment to supporting the Government’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Mr. Krittaphol Huanpeeb – Assistant Vice President of CPV’s Ben Tre Shrimp Hatchery Branch – shared: “Every forest planted today not only adds greenery to the environment but also conveys a message of responsibility and love for nature and the community. For C.P. Vietnam, sustainable development always goes hand in hand with ecosystem conservation and caring for people.”

The year 2025 also marks CPV’s completion of its target to plant 1 million trees across communities in six provinces under the “Journey for a Green Vietnam” project. This achievement reflects the collective effort of businesses, authorities, and citizens, all working toward a greener, more sustainable, and prosperous Vietnam.

Through this activity in Vinh Long, CPV aims to make a practical contribution to environmental protection, mangrove restoration, and inspire green action within the community—toward a future where people and nature thrive in harmony.

“For C.P. Vietnam Joint Stock Company, sustainable development is not only a commitment but a core foundation, where the interests of the nation and community are always prioritized. The company continuously strives to build a sustainable economic ecosystem in harmony with society and the environment, so that every step forward of C.P. Vietnam is for a green, prosperous, and sustainably developed Vietnam.”
