Hanoi, June 24, 2017: SCG has joined hand with Hanoi Football Club to create activities aiming to uplift the professional football in Vietnam and encourage youth development via sports. Accordingly, during the V-league match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong on June 24^th, SCG has brought to Hanoi football fans an exciting playground with pre-match gaming activities, besides offering free tickets to hundreds of community children and university students to watch the game. On this occasion, SCG is also fulfilling its mission for a better living by donating sports facilities to neighborhood community.

Mr. Montri Mahaplerkpong, Deputy Country Director of SCG Vietnam states that: "Base on the principle of human development and sustainable develop principle to contribute where SCG operates, SCG is delighted to partner with Hanoi Football Club to inspire and engage Vietnamese youngsters in football. By creating more exciting activities on the field besides improving the club’s performance, we believe to attract more fans to the stadium to watch the game and encourage the young generation to develop via football”.

“Besides, to implement our corporate social responsibility, SCG continues to donate sports facilities for soccer, badminton, and basketball equipment to Hanoi neighborhood communities to give opportunity for the local youth to start a healthy lifestyle in free time. This is in line with SCG’s corporate vision to create better living for Vietnamese”, added Mr. Montri.

In early 2017, SCG has announced the sponsorship of Football Club of Hanoi in the 2017/2018 seasons with the desire to support the development of professional football in Vietnam, and also in line with corporate sustainable development strategy of the corporation with the goal of human development. This collaboration also marks the milestone for SCG as the first sports sponsorship in Vietnam.

SCG is widely known for supporting regional sports talents to global stage, most recently is the major event of Pro May – Ariya Jutanugarn to become the world’s number 1 golfer under SCG sponsorship. SCG is also the sponsor for the renowned football club SCG Muangthong United and SCG Badminton Academy in Thailand.
