Manufacturers Taking the Lead in the Circular Economy
As a long-term investor in Vietnam, INSEE strives to integrate sustainable development into its core business which brings positive impacts on prosperity, environment, and people in Vietnam. In particular, INSEE Vietnam is a pioneer in Green Manufacturing in Circular Economy focusing on reducing the use of raw materials and the self-production of energy in our process with the potential to recycle or reuse back into the manufacturing process. With the goal of making these processes more environmentally friendly, INSEE has invested in state-of-the-art technologies such as vertical roller mills (VRM) in our Hon Chong integrated plant, which consume about 20% less energy than traditional ball mills; waste-heat recovery power plant, which generates 25% of the plant’s electricity demands, indirectly eliminating approximately 25,000 tonnes of CO2 per year, equivalent to 9,300 tonnes of coal/year, etc. Besides, INSEE Ecocycle, the group’s waste management branch has treated safely and thoroughly almost 1.2 million tonnes of waste which being treated and put into use as alternative fuel to produce cement instead of traditional fuel. By the use of this waste, we have reduced more than 1 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions by co-processing in the cement kiln.
INSEE Vietnam is firmly on the path towards sustainable development
