Ho Chi Minh City, August 2nd, 2022: Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company (BM PLASCO), a SCG’s member in Vietnam, was named one of the Top 50 Best Listed Firms in 2022 by Forbes Vietnam Magazine. BM PLASCO, in particular, is the only firm in the sector of building materials specializing in plastic pipes and plastic pipe fittings to be included on this year's list. BAT Vietnam's "Women's Empowerment" program initially helped 40 women and their families in Long An province to overcome their difficulties. According to a report released in July 2022 by the Women's Union of Duc Hue district in Long An province, with the financial support of BAT as well as the attention of local authorities, 40 women in two communes in the border areas received much-needed support to overcome difficulties and improve their livelihoods.

To offset CO2 emissions from the company’s production and operational activities, JTI Vietnam has launched many projects from 2020 under the program “Net-Zero Carbon Emission”. “Upcycle food waste into free-range chickens and eggs” project, which aims to convert organic waste into nutrient-rich organic fertilizer for plants and produce feed that serves as an abundant source of protein for livestock, poultry and aquatic products, is carried out in 2022 – 2023 with total budget of USD 30,000 funded by Mondelez Kinh Do and Mondelez International’s Sustainable Futures. The project is in line with the trendy innovative model of production in food industry.
