Ho Chi Minh City, July 20 2020: Binh Minh Plastics (HOSE: BMP) has been awarded as Vietnam’s 50 Best-Performing Companies (“TOP 50”) 2019 by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine in tandem with Thien Viet Securities. With 9 consecutive years listed in the magazine’s Top 50, BMP has proven a consistent performance thanks to excellent corporate governance and strong commitment to quality improvement.
Vietnam’s 50 Best-Performing Companies is an annual prestige ranking by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Managazine to honor the most effective companies on Vietnam stock exchange. The ranking process took counsel from many economists and business experts who were Harvard Business School graduates. TOP 50 evaluates businesses’ results of three fiscal years in a row, based on three indicators: revenue, return on equity (ROE) and earnings per share (EPS).
In 2019, Binh Minh Plastics revenue reached 4,343 billion VNDs, 5 percent growth y-o-y; while Profit after Tax was 423 billion VNDs. The company also had a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of Sales Revenue up to 9.4 percent, and Return on Equity (ROE) was 18.2 percent (average in 2017 – 2019).

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – Today, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Building University-Industry Learning and Development through Innovation and Technology (BUILD-IT) Alliance and the Dow Vietnam STEM Program hosted their first industry mentorship showcase; the eProjects Innovation Showcase. The showcase saw six student teams demonstrate their industry-linked prototypes to an audience of students, faculty, and industry professionals from across Vietnam. During the eProjects program which was facilitated by BUILD-IT, students, faculty, and professional mentors from Dow Vietnam developed unique solutions to Dow Vietnam’s sustainability, recycling, and warehouse management challenges.
