AES Vietnam presents Tet gifts disadvantaged households and children in the Year of the Dragon 2024

As part of the celebration of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, AES Vietnam’s representatives visited and presented Tet gifts to a number of disadvantaged households and children in Quang Ninh Province and Binh Thuan Province.

This is annual program by AES Vietnam delivered gifts to local communities. This year, there are total 173 disadvantaged households and 188 pupils received the gifts.

Mr. Joseph Uddo, President of AES Vietnam, said, “With more than 15 years of operation in Vietnam, AES has become a trusted partner with extensive global and local knowledge. We understand the importance of Tet in Vietnamese culture and hope these gifts will contribute to sharing difficulties and helping local people in the area celebrate Tet. When implementing CSR programs, we want our value ‘All together’ to spread from internal operations to the community. With this program, we hope for a warmer and more meaningful holiday for the poor, so Tet can be celebrated in every household. Finally, we wish you and your family a Happy and Prosperous New Year.”

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Chairwoman of Ham Tan District Women’s Union, expressed her gratitude for the contribution to the community. She said, “On behalf of the local authorities and local households, I would like to thank AES Vietnam for caring and giving meaningful Tet gifts to households with difficult circumstances in three communes: Son My, Tan Thang, and Thang Hai in Ham Tan district, bringing a warm and happy Tet to every household and let no one behind.”

Mr. Bui Quang Trung, Vice Chairman of Mong Duong People’s Committee, expressed his gratitude for the company’s continuous support and commitment to the community’s development over the years. He said, “On behalf of the residents of Mong Duong Ward, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your significant contributions and unwavering efforts that have brought warmth and joy to those in difficult circumstances, especially during the Tet holiday in the Year of the Dragon 2024.”

The Tet gifts program is part of AES Vietnam’s social impact program, which aims to improve the quality of life for local communities. Over the past 15 years, AES Vietnam has implemented more than 150 CSR programs, focusing on four key pillars - Health & Safety, Education, Livelihoods, and Infrastructure - contributing to making a permanent difference and improving the quality of lives of more than 200,000 people in the local community in Quang Ninh Province and Binh Thuan Province.

Mondelez Kinh Do launches the "Trash Right" initiative in Vietnam
